Durango Silverton Train Elopement

Anna and Ashlyn…

…found my website, and knew they wanted to work with me right away. They had already bought tickets for the winter train ride up to Cascade on the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Train. We planned the perfect elopement day collaboratively and finally the time came to live out their dreams! They brought a game of mancala for entertainment on the train with hand picked gems. It’s one of their favorite things to do together. Their jewelry had so much meaning and significance, every last detail was thought through. We got to hike around and get some photos mid way before the train turned around. Anna and Ashlyn also love a good smoke, so we made sure to get some photos of that before we hopped back on the train. On the train ride back to Durango, the girls wrote their vows and read letters from friends and family.

We made our way back to Blue Lake Ranch where the girls had the most intimate and heartfelt vow ceremony. The dogs made things official with their signatures and we headed to the lake for some sunset photos. It was such a special day.

I do want you to know that my best photos are not accidents – they usually are born when several elements align – and I want to share with you what they are.

The daisies were abundant and the backdrop was jaw dropping.

So you’re engaged! But what type of celebration do you have??
